ABOUT FRENCH FOOD MATTERS

Operating under FRENCH FOOD MATTERS (FFM), LA CREPERIE outlets have enjoyed a long reputation as one of the “cannot miss” city’s dining venues. LA CREPERIE, our first French cuisine concept, was established in 2007 and has been widely acclaimed among diners, with several outlets opening in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City. Since then, FFM expanded its brand profile to include a diversity of new restaurants, serving French cuisine with different concepts such as LA CABANE (Shanghai) in 2015 serving food from the French Alps . In 2022, FFM has launched its latest concept more focused on the Brittany seaside with seafood as a main element of its cuisine, creating contemporary dining venue BISTRO BRETON (Hong Kong).

French Food Matters (FFM) is a group of restaurants operating with the same simple idea : Making customers enjoy a great time while they stay in each outlet. The quality of the food being served remaining the top priority, our goal goes well beyond.

The first restaurant “La Creperie” was opened in 2007 with the will to make people’s senses travel to Brittany, a region where Philippe Ricard has lived and learnt what is a great crepe and where his soul still remains. With the same ambition of sharing what he loves, La Cabane was a new concept developed in 2015, where people would be invited to discover the specialties of the French Alps in a typical wooden chalet one would find in Chamonix.

“I have always believed that creating a simple but true environment that matches our food and beverage shall allow to better understand and fully appreciate the experience. This is what drives me and I hope many of our customers will share this idea.”

To achieve this goal, our teams are everyday working on the details that will keep the consistency of the concepts. Coming to one of our restaurants will transport you to this unique places in France well known for their charm and marvellous delicacies.

We care about SUSTAINABILITY

  • We have been recognised for our ability to keep the quality and taste in the products we’ve done for years and which have built our reputation
    Many of our customers are coming since the opening of our restaurants.
  • Loving nature and the great products it offers, we have always been very careful with our waste and the consumption of non reusable packaging and we have a clear internal plan to reduce it every year.
    Ex : For all our delivery packaging, we use Bagasse.
  • We support initiatives such as beach cleaning and follow the various actions done by people taking care of our Earth and who share the same commitment. Ex : We love and follow the actions of the project “Use it Again” developed by Romain Pilliard, we feel inspiring.
  • We use imported products when we believe it is necessary to keep the authenticity of the flavours in the dishes we propose, the quality of the ingredients, but we also try to source locally as much as we can to reduce our carbon print and support local producers.
    Ex : Our dairy products such as cheese and cream come from France, but most of our veggies and fruits and locally produced.

We care about QUALITY

  • Every Head Chef under the supervision of our Group Executive Chef is using the freshest and healthiest ingredients to make our dishes. And we select our products according to their composition.
    Ex : Most of our recipes are homemade such as our salted butter caramel, and this allows us to avoid all kind of unnecessary additives.
  • We partner with reliable suppliers who share the same values and care themselves about the way they handle their production
    Ex : We use apple juice and ciders which are made from 100% pure juice.

We care about HYGIENE

  • All Managers are following strict rules to maintain a clean environment and follow internal and external trainings in order to have the most updated knowledge for best practice.
  • We proceed to regular audits in each restaurant to keep a consistency between the various outlets. We know how much this is important for you as many of you are regular customers in several of our locations.

We care about CASUAL AMBIANCE

  • We offer a casual but comfortable experience at reasonable price so we keep affordable to the many and remain family friendly, easy going.
  • We are a small Group and remain very attached to the soul of each restaurant brought by each manager with his team. So each outlet remains unique and is not a copy cat of the original.
